Cambridgeshire retailer and Convenience Store Champion Jonathan James has been appointed as chairman of local football club Soham Town Rangers FC.
Voted in unanimously by the committee and members, Jonathan replaces previous club chairman Michael Firek. Jonathan had previously been serving as vice chair and has been a long-time supporter of the club.
On his appointment, Jonathan James said “Under Michael’s leadership, the club has come a very long way in a short space of time. We are therefore in an excellent position to move forward and we will develop a five-year plan working with all stakeholders involved in the club.
“Our community is at the heart of all that we do and we look forward to strengthening links with local residents and businesses alike.”
