Oswestry retailer EG Evans & Tina has been named as the latest Store of the Quarter by UK parcel carrier Yodel for its outstanding customer support and service to the local community.

It beat thousands of stores nationwide to win the award, which recognises customer satisfaction and service levels across Yodel’s network of 6,500 convenience stores, newsagents, petrol stations and supermarkets. The store handles more than 1,000 parcels a quarter for Yodel and has received a five-star rating through the carrier’s in-house customer feedback survey.

EG Evans & Tina has been a vibrant hub of the local community for decades - as owner Tina’s mum first opened the shop in 1969. Tina said: “We’re really excited to have been recognised for our work and are grateful to Yodel and all our loyal customers who’ve made this possible. Being a part of the Deliver to Yodel Store network has really supported our business and is an invaluable service in the area.”

Customer experience director at Yodel, Michaela Simpson, added: “EG Evans & Tina stand as an example to all of us, and highlight the importance of a community spirit in the logistics sector. At Yodel, we look forward to celebrating the success of our partners, who enable us to provide secure and convenient parcel collections to millions.

“We’ve seen customer-to-customer volumes surge as a result of a rise in people buying and selling on second-hand marketplaces such as Vinted and eBay.”
