Independent retailers in Edinburgh are being given a helping hand to compete with a new superstore thanks to a promotional campaign from Bellevue cash and carry.

The wholesaler has launched the price promotion to help retailers affected by a new Asda, which has opened in the Newhaven area.

It has put together a package of consumer offers on popular grocery lines such as Tetley, Heinz and Andrex. Bellevue says the package offers shoppers savings of more than £8 compared with Asda.

The offer is open to all retailers, who will also receive posters, shelf barkers and pos.
