Booker’s eighth Family Shopper store has opened its doors in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
The discount-orientated convenience store is owned by independent retailer Amandeep Singh and has been established in a former theatre.
Officially opened by Amandeep’s 91-year-old grandmother, the new store offers a wide range of £1 products and non-food items.
It follows other recent launches of Family Shopper in Newcastle and Manchester.
Amandeep, who has one other Premier store, said: “We are delighted with our new Family Shopper store and are really looking forward to serving the local community. Whatever our shoppers are looking for whether it’s a meal for tonight, a big night in or to do a top up shop we have a great range to meet all of their needs at amazingly low prices.
”This is coupled with some fantastic promotions £1 range and seasonal areas and we can’t wait to build on the success of the opening.”
