Booker Wholesale has posted “good” first quarter figures, with customer numbers and sales up.
Like for like sales excluding Makro for the 12 weeks to 20 June 2014 were up 2.9%, while including Makro, Booker Group’s figures were up 3.8%.
Booker’s retail business had also made a positive start to the year, retail sales director Steve Fox said.
“Premier is performing well having reached 3,000 stores in the period and we also opened our first store in Northern Ireland.
“Family Shopper is making good progress and we continue to improve choice, price and service for all independent retailers,” he added.
