Booker says it expects more consumers to stay at home over the summer months and the two-day event will reveal Booker's suggestions for ways retailers can lower costs, drive sales and provide service for their consumers. Initiatives include retail best sellers, new season-long pricing and free multi-temperature delivery up to seven days at week. Exclusive promotions will also be available.
“Booker is committed to increasing choice, lowering prices and improving our service,” said Steve Fox, director of retail & Premier development. “We believe this summer will be great for independent retailers as more and more consumers shop locally. Our Showcase event on 2nd and 3rd April is a demonstration of how Booker can help the independent retailer make the most of Summer 2009.”
