Londis is making it easier for its retailers to connect with their local communities by offering them personalised web pages linked to its consumer website.
The pages are free for retailers to populate and can feature local community activity, fund-raising initiatives, unique in-store deals and local events.
They are also fully mobile compatible, following research which revealed that more than 20% of Londis website visitors were accessing the site via smartphone.
A step-by-step guide with easy to follow instructions has also been created to help retailers build their pages up.
“In today’s world of fast communications, shoppers expect businesses to have easy to use, relevant websites, no matter what size of business,” Londis marketing director Anna Burleigh said.
“We know retailers add their personal touch in store to ensure they are responsive to local community needs and we want retailers to have an individual webpage which reflects this” she added.
Londis retailer Sunder Sandher, who has has stores in Headington and Leamington Spa, said the new facility would help retailers get closer to shoppers. “It’s a great tool for retailers and we need to make the most of it; it’s free and simple to use and I’ll be updating my website regularly to engage with shoppers” he added.
