Coultons Bread is refreshing its Bakestone 800g PMP range, as well as introducing a new Sunbake bread brand.

From this month, the existing 800g white and 800g BRITE range will be enhanced with the addition of a 800g square topped wholemeal sliced loaf. All products are price-marked at £1.05 PMP and feature a new look to improve shelf presence.

Howard Hunter, managing director of Coultons Bread Limited, said: “The increase in private-label growth in the market is driving the need for lines to fill those gaps in our core market of convenience retail. The growth in challenger discounters over recent years has disrupted the market and consumer trust in private label has never been greater as a result.

“At Coultons we recognise the need to offer the major brands across the market, but we also recognise the need to help close the gap for convenience retailers in offering a lower cost alternative. That’s where our fantastic new look for our Bakestone 800g range and our launch of the Sunbake brand will help to offer great value for money in the convenience market.” 

Later in January, the brand will also introduce a new Sunbake 800g range, consisting of four white and wholemeal (medium and thick) loaves.
