Mars Food UK has announced the launch of two new Dolmio product ranges as well as a new global advertising campaign aiming to take the stress out of family dinner time.
The first NPD, Dolmio no added sugar pasta sauce, will be sold in 350g jars (rrp 1.99). The product is designed to be shared between two people and each serving provides one of your five a day.
The new sauce comes in five varieties: Sun-ripened Tomato & Basil, Sun-ripened Tomato & Chilli, Sun-ripened Tomato & Roasted Garlic, Sun-ripened Tomato & Mascarpone and Sun-dried Tomato & Sweet Pepper.
The second NPD, Dolmio Chicken Tray Bake, will be sold in 150g packs (rrp 1.49) and is targeted at families of four. The pouch is designed to be spread over chicken and vegetables, then cooked in the oven for 30 minutes.
This sauce comes in four flavours: Italian Herbs & Garlic, Lemon & Roasted Garlic, Sun-dried Tomato & Basil, Mushroom, Garlic & White Wine. All of Dolmio’s products contain no artificial colours, flavours, preservatives or sweeteners.
Ian Nundy, marketing manager at Dolmio, said: “The UK loves Italian food - it’s the number one choice for consumers and the most important cuisine segment for retailers within foods of the world. These new product innovations will drive growth in the category by tapping into a number of consumer trends.”
The Dolmio brand is also launching a brand new global campaign with a new TV ad to promote existing and new product lines.
The campaign will run from August until November and bespoke advertising for the new tray bake range will launch in mid-September through until mid-December
More support is planned for 2018. The new products are available now and will launch at wholesale over the next few months. New and current lines will be supported by extensive POS and merchandising in store and at cash and carry depots.
