Kellogg’s has announced a raft of summer innovations for its cereal brands.
New Special K Protein Crunch (rsp: £2.99 per 390g), which is made up of crunchy clusters made from six wholegrains, contains 7.7g of protein per 45g serving.
In addition, All-Bran is being brought into the muesli category with the launch of All-Bran High Fibre Muesli. The new product will be available in two varieties, Fruit & Nut with Banana, Coconut, Sultanas & Hazelnuts, and Cranberry & Sultanas with Pumpkin Seeds (rsp: £2.99 for 550g).
Next in line is Special K Super Porridge, available in three variants: Apricot, Linseed & Pumpkin Seed; Raspberry, Pomegranate & Pumpkin Seed and Almond, Pecan & Sunflower Seed. The new porridge is available in pots and sachets priced at £1.99 per 5 x 30g sachets.
Another porridge innovation is Crunchy Nut Porridge, aimed at male consumers. The porridge, which contains real nuts, is available in pots and sachets (rsp: £1.99 for 6 x 30g sachets).
Commercial marketing director Jane Ghosh, said: “Young men haven’t traditionally been big consumers of porridge, but if any product is going to change that then this is the one.”
Kellogg’s is also extending its Granola range with the addition of Granola Chocolate & Hazelnut (rrp £2.99 per 450g bag).
Also launching soon is a cereal based on a recipe by Strictly Come Dancing presenter, Tess Daly. The blend of Special K with red apple, almond and vanilla, has an rrp of £2.99 for 360g.
The final addition to the summer portfolio is Cereal Bars Big Packs, a 10-bar pack of Coco Pops cereal bars, Rice Krispies cereal bars and Special K Red Berry cereal bars.
