Metcalfe’s Skinny has launched a brand new Popcorn Crisps range in three flavours.

Available now is Original, Sweet Chilli and Say Cheese, an “indulgent rich cheddar flavour combination”.

Unlike traditional deep-fat frying methods, Metcalfe’s Skinny Popcorn Crisps are created through a flash-griddled process. The kernels, oil and salt are dropped onto triangular-shaped molds and with the right pressure, temperature and moisture they pop to become Popcorn Crisps.

Each packet has no more than 137 calories in and is designed to be an on-the-go snacking alternative to crisps.

The new snack is sold in impulse 30g bags with an rrp of £1.

Max Rees, managing director of Metcalfe’s Food Company, said: “We are enormously proud to be bringing Popcorn Crisps to our customers. The Metcalfe’s skinny brand has grown enormously in the past couple of years so this is an extremely exciting time for the brand to be extending our innovative product range.”
