Plastic-free, natural chewing gum brand, Milliways claims to be the first plant-based gum to launch a Bubblemint flavour.
The new gum has an rrp of £1 and marks Milliways’ fourth flavour in its chewing gum range, alongside Mighty Mint, Peppermint and Watermelon. The new Bubblemint flavour will feature Milliways’ new branding that centres around vibrant colours, combining a baby blue and bubblegum pink colour scheme with “out-of-this-world icons nestled amongst Planet Earth’s natural elements”. The packaging is also fully recyclable and biodegradable.
Milliways CEO and founder, Tom Raviv, says: “Tastes and flavours have the power to transport us back in time to certain memories and moments, and we know that the taste of bubblegum will feel nostalgic for many. Bubblegum is probably the first flavour we would have tried as kids, so it sparks a feeling of youthful energy and adventure. Mint, on the other hand, is a flavour far more common in our daily lives as we grow up, leaving us feeling fresh and clean. By blending the two, we’ve created a dynamic chewing gum that bursts with flavour and brings all these feelings together.
“Our mission is to make plastic-free gum the norm for everyone, every day and I’m proud that we’re continuing to innovate and expand our range to bring exciting new products to the market that taste great and only use sustainable plant-based ingredients.”
Part of Milliways’ mission is to create widespread awareness that conventional big-brand gum is made from petroleum-derived plastic ingredients, amongst other artificial additives, and make plant-based, biodegradable chewing gum the status quo.
The company claims that each piece of conventional gum can contain up to two straws’ worth of single-use plastic.
Milliways was founded on the basis of using innovation and high-quality ingredients to create an entirely plastic-free, plant-based and biodegradable chewing gum that delivers on the everyday flavour and experience that gum chewers expect.
