A spooky new confectionery collection is making its way to retailers in the run up to Halloween as Perfetti Van Melle launches a new themed confectionary range this October.
The new Halloween range includes Chupa Chups’ Spooky Pizza, a fresh take on the brand’s best-selling candy pizza but covered in jelly snakes and spiders.
Perfetti Van Melle is also offering retailers impactful shelf ready packaging and free standing display units to create theatre in store, and engage shoppers. Priced at £5, the spooky pizzas are a fantastic way to increase basket spend.
Another addition to the range is the Chupa Chups Halloween bag, packed with 14 different lollipops, and comes in an eye-catching spookily decorated orange packet. Fruittella Spooky Family will also be available as part of the range, building on the success of last year’s Hotel Transylvania bag and contains three flavours: blackcurrant and strawberry; cola and lemon; and orange and banana.
Mark Roberts, trade marketing manager at Perfetti Van Melle said: “Halloween represents a fantastic opportunity for retailers, and we’re doing everything we can to help them maximise shopper spend and bring seasonal products front of mind.
“We know 80% of confectionery choices are finalised in store, ensuring innovative and different confectionery such as our Chupa Chups Spooky Pizza are visible is key. Fruittella bags featured in top 25 bags for Halloween in 2015, and are now growing ahead of the total bags market, so we’re confident these will be extremely popular with shoppers.”
