Upfield has unveiled a revamped range of Flora ProActiv products, featuring a new vegan formula and redesigned packaging.
Rolling out to retailers now and in line with the brand’s business ambitions, the updated line-up is now 100% plant-based and certified by the Vegan Society.
Designed to help consumers control their cholesterol, the range of ProActive spreads consists of three variants: light (for calorie-conscious consumers); buttery (more indulgent with a butter-like taste); and olive oil (for added plant-based flavour).
Created using natural plant-based ingredients, the trio of products all feature increased plant sterols, which help to reduce cholesterol levels in the blood. Each variant is also made with vitamins D and E and healthy oils including Omega 3 and 6.
The health credentials of the range will be communicated through a new pack design that heroes the product’s natural cholesterol-lowering formula.
David Salkeld, general manager at Upfield, said: “We’re committed to helping the UK create a better, more natural plant-based future and the relaunch of Flora ProActiv is another step forward for us as a business.
“With over six in every 10 Brits being diagnosed with abnormal levels of cholesterol, the problem is more prevalent than ever before. We’ve reformulated our Flora ProActiv recipe to be even better at helping consumers manage cholesterol, whilst also improving on our great taste.”
Flora ProActiv is available to convenience stores and indepndents in two formats: 500g tubs (rrp £3.90); and 250g tubs (rrp £2.10).
