Walkers is supporting the launch of its new 175g re-sealable sharing packs with an eight week TV campaign, featuring Gary Lineker, as part of its UEFA Champions League (UCL) sponsorship.
Launching today (1st February), the TV creative, plus an innovative on-pack promotion alongside a digital and influencer campaign, will focus on the social occasion created by watching matches.
Focusing on the relationship between the fans, the advert features people gathered together to watch a football match in a variety of locations, from the pub to a living room. Lineker features mid-way through as the ‘goal poacher’ when he tries to take someone else’s crisps. The closing scene is of people at the pub opening and sharing their crisps as they prepare to watch the game. A Walkers United logo appears on screen and the voiceover ends with ‘Walkers, proud sponsors of the UEFA Champions League. Grab a new sharing pack to enjoy with your friends’.
