Warner’s Budgens has teamed up with online children’s channel E-Bop.tv to create a reward card system to encourage good behaviour in children while their parents are shopping.
The scheme was launched at a fun day for children on July 2 and will operate at Warner’s Budgens in Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire. Children will receive a sticker for their reward card when their grown-up has spent over £15 in one transaction, encouraging more families to shop at the store and increase basket spend to £15 or more.
Cashiers are briefed to offer children a reward card and to explain how it works. When a child has a reward card, the cashier will ask the grown up if the child has behaved well and helped with the shopping before giving a sticker.
Stickers will be branded with E-bop.tv Charlie Marmalade characters. Children will need to collect 10 to complete their card, and will receive a Charlie Marmalade plush character or voucher to redeem online for an E-Bop.tv space station ‘VIP membership’.
