Kalpesh Patel, who runs Wonersh Village Stores, near Guildford, Surrey is pictured being taken through his licensing application by Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) public affairs executive Shane Brennen after he contacted the ACS for advice on the procedure.

Armed with the ACS Licensing Guide, licensing expert Brennen took Kalpesh though the licence application process step by step.

Kalpesh said: “It’s confusing. There are so many parts to the form. “If you make a mistake you could end up losing your licence completely. Thankfully, the ACS has made this a whole thing a lot easier and solved my headache.”
