It may be called London 2012, but much of the Olympic action will in fact take place outside the capital

As well as the venues, sites all around the country will be screening the sports live, and the Torch Relay will traverse the length and breadth of Great Britain. The official Open Weekend, with events taking place all over the country, starts today (July 22).
