Demand for the Learning and Skills Council's Train to Gain scheme has increased eight-fold since its rollout across England in August.
More than 15,000 employers are now making use of the service, which offers expert advice and sources training providers for businesses.
The government has set aside £1bn to support the scheme through to 2010. David Way, national director of skills at the council, said: "Train to Gain is all about listening to employers and it is delivering, with 89% of employers who have used it telling us they are satisfied with the service."
He adds: "It's been piloted over the past four years across the country and we're confident that we've built a robust service that is here to stay."
