Thatchers Cider is set to launch a new TV advert that will air during some of the biggest sporting events of 2019.
The ‘Race Car’ ad, which features the Thatchers “spokesperson” driving through some well-known West Country landmarks, will first launch on 2 February.
The 30-second commercial, which will air on ITV throughout the Six Nations Rugby season, is expected to reach more than a quarter of the UK population during the first two months of the campaign.
The advert will also be shown from February to September on ITV, Channel 4 and Sky, during shows such as The Grand National, Monaco Grand Prix, Cricket World Cup, Game of Thrones, Great British Bake Off, and the Women’s Football World Cup.
Thatchers Cider head of brands, Yvonne Flannery, said: “Following from our Hot Air Balloon commercial, which we know resonated strongly with viewers on enjoyment and memorability, Race Car creates a long-term campaign for Thatchers, filmed in the same, sunny photographic style, and featuring familiar faces, music and scenery to support brand recognition.”
The launch of the new TV campaign is also being accompanied by a series of short films for digital channels.
