Bestway is to give its own-label customers a profit boost in the new year by offering enhanced POR on a selection of lines.
The ‘Profit Shocker’ promotion runs from 4 January until 3 March and will cover soft drinks, grocery and non-food lines in depot, online and via Bestway Direct.
Many of the group’s best-selling own-brand lines such as stimulation drinks, toilet tissues, snacks, household and canned goods are included in the programme.
Trading manager Nick Brown said: “The new Profit Shocker promotion retailers a greater chance to compete and give a welcome boost to sales and profit in January and February – a time when sales can be traditionally quiet.
“Although the promotion will run across the range in which products are all pricemarked, we would encourage retailers to pass on these savings by further discounting the pricemark and demonstrate real value to their customers post-Christmas when people look to perhaps tighten their belts after spending heavily at Christmas and the new year.”
