Administrator KPMG has confirmed it has received offers from a wide range of suitors for the remaining 150 Unwins stores.
KPMG said that a “mixed selection” of interested parties had made bids for the outlets, which became available after the off-licence chain went into administration before Christmas.
It would not confirm or deny whether parties included c-store groups but bidders include local traders, property developers and rival off-licence chains. Threshers, which has already acquired 200 of Unwins’ 350-strong estate, has shown an interest in buying more of the stores.
