The eighth store trading under Blakemore Wholesale’s premium Bmorelocal fascia has opened in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.
The 900 sq ft store opened its doors earlier in the month as a Bmorelocal site following a £60,000 investment.
The former Post Office located on a busy main road has been transformed and has doubled in size to include a convenience store together and Post Office facilities.
Owner Waqas Khan said: “I felt that after speaking to all the different wholesalers and looking at their packages, Blakemore offered greater flexibility with the Bmorelocal fascia. Not only do you get the backing of a large professional company and the help of a dedicated Business Development Manager, you also have a new fascia group with an exciting growth plan.
“The package includes all categories and staff are happy to support me with planning my store and have even supplied leaflets without alcohol as this is something I did not want to sell. Overall it’s a great looking fascia with great support and the flexibility to be my own boss.”
Blakemore Wholesale sales director Nick Rose added: “It’s fantastic to open our eighth Bmorelocal store and the first in South Yorkshire. The brand new store has undergone significant refurbishment and development, offering the local community a one stop shop for all of their convenience needs, including post office services.”
As part of Blakemore Wholesale’s commitment to making a positive contribution to the communities it serves, the company’s charitable trust the Blakemore Foundation has pledged to award each Bmorelocal store £200 to donate to a charity of their choice. Waqas has chosen to donate £200 to Rotherham Hospice.
