A £20m fund for community branch subpostmasters is now accepting applications.
Launched as part of the Network Transformation Programme, the fund is designed to help Post Office branches with no other suitable retailer within half a mile and where the branch plays a particularly vital role in the local community.
According to network and sales director Kevin Gilliland, the fund can be used for a range of improvements such as changing the branch format to open plan, new signage or adding new services such as Click & Collect. It is designed to help subpostmasters support the growth of their Post Office business and help underpin the long term viability of their business.
Applications to the fund must demonstrate how the work would benefit the overall profitability of the business and improve the customer experience.
Subpostmasters interested in applying to the Community Branch Fund, should log on to www.postofficecommunityfund.co.uk or telephone on 0845 266 8790.
