Category sales of tobacco, e-cigarettes and vaping products currently make up 20.1% of convenience retailers overall sales totals, the greatest proportion of any one category alone [IGD], highlighting a significant opportunity for emerging next-gen nicotine alternatives.
An increasing number of adult smokers are now making the transition to next-gen products, leading the category to grow, now being worth around £110m in annual retail sales, having grown 92% in the last year [IRI].
And with the disposable vape ban due in April 2025, the market is likely to grow even further.
