The Costcutter Supermarkets Group is gearing up for this year’s big summer of sport with a brand new promotional marketing campaign supporting a wide-range of special deals.
The ‘Love Summer Deals’ campaign kicked off on May 12 and will run until September 14 across all Costcutter stores, offering savings on everyday essentials, summer drinks and barbecue basics. The campaign is being supported by full POS, consumer leaflets and advertising campaigns, including a Euro 2016-themed TV advert.
A dedicated Euro’s section has also been created on the ActivHUB retailer portal to help retailers make the most of the football tournament with downloadable game cards, wall planners, and in-store games to engage customers. A series of incentives are also being run with prizes up for grabs including a holiday in France to be won.
Jenny Wilson, marketing director at the Costcutter Supermarkets Group, said: “Summer is a key trading period and with major sporting events including the Rio Olympics, the Euro’s and Wimbledon we want to help our retailers drive increased sales opportunities through the right products, deals and high level support to drive customer awareness and footfall. Feedback from our previous campaigns was very positive, with many retailers ordering additional POS, reporting increased engagement levels across social media and seeing strong sales. We are confident Love Summer Deals will be just as successful.”
Craig Crossey-Truesdale, store manager of The Chalet Costcutter store in Portadown, County Armagh, said: “We’re excited to be launching the new Love Summer Deals and I’ve worked with my Business Development Manager to build a goal out of promotional packs of Carlsberg. With its eye-catching POS and huge offers available, I’m sure the campaign will strike a chord with customers and help us drive sales over the summer months.”
