Retailers and suppliers can gain vital new insight into how to collaborate more successfully, as well as recent changes into both shopper habits in the convenience sector and in the structure of the industry itself, at Convenience Store’s second Convenience Performance Seminar on Thursday May 16.

At the seminar, to be held at One Drummond Gate in Victoria, central London, leading suppliers and retailers will explain how they are working closely together for mutual benefit, including a detailed video store tour of an award-winning independent convenience store.

Industry experts HIM and Nielsen will deliver fresh insight into how the recession and changes in lifestyle have affected shopper behaviour in the convenience sector, and provide some key recommendations for suppliers and retailers to meet convenience shoppers’ needs better.

In addition, delegates at the event will receive a free copy of the 2013 version of the valuable Grocery Retail Structure, showing the size, scale and changing store ownership within the grocery sector.

Convenience Store editor David Rees said: “Smart retailers and suppliers know that the future of the independent convenience channel depends on all elements of the supply chain working more closely together for mutual benefit. The Convenience Performance Seminar 2013 will outline some already successful partnerships and point to winning strategies for the future in the sector.”

The Convenience Performance Seminar is being staged jointly with HIM Research & Consulting, and takes place in the afternoon preceding the HIM CTP Awards 2013. Delegates booking for the seminar before March 31, or booking for both events, receive a discount.
