The first Go Local Extra store has opened in the Liverpool area following an extensive re-fit.
Ranjit and Kiran Singh adopted the Parfetts fascia for their Singh News store in the Maghull area of Liverpool. The redevelopment included extending the original shop into the premises of a butcher’s next door.
The Singhs enlisted the help of the Parfetts team who designed a layout that opened up four times the space and enable them to expand their range of products and services.
The new store offers a Post Office counter, a dry cleaning service, lottery, Pay Point and a local delivery service for elderly or disabled customers.
David Grimes, managing director of Parfetts, said: “We’re really focused on growing businesses in this area, and we’re starting with the total refurbishment of our flagship depots in Aintree and Anfield so we can better serve our customers.
“We have been trading here since the mid 80s and during that time we have developed some very strong relationships with local retailers. We want to make sure that they are aware of the value we can add to their business, from store planning to weekly promotions.”
Turnover has doubled at the relaunched store. “Working with Parfetts has been excellent. We couldn’t have done it on our own,” said Ranjit.
