Fresh to Store has announced the acquisition of Stocked from the Indigo Food Group, expanding its footprint to over 13,000 retailers across the country.
Fresh to Store, which took over Kerryfresh in February 2015 from Kerry Foods, will now own Stocked, the chilled van sales distribution company previously owned by Mark Woodington and Peter Hobbs.
Fresh to Store managing director Darren Haynes said: “This acquisition will reinforce our position as the nation’s No.1 chilled food delivery service. It will enable us to expand our range of chilled products in the convenience channel through new supply relationships, as well as providing additional distribution capacity to support our growing customer base.
“With the addition of Stocked to our business, we look forward to offering a first class chilled delivery service to an even greater number of independent retailers nationwide.”
Indigo Food Group serves around 2,000 retailers nationwide, predominately in Wales and Southern England, and will continue to trade as Stocked for the foreseeable future.
