The retail industry is mourning the loss of Mark Gillett, managing director of Gillett’s Callington, who passed away earlier this week after a long illness.

Mark, who had managed the family-run chain of 63 South of England Spar stores for many years, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

His funeral mass will take place at Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, Callington Road, Tavistock PL19 8EH on Tuesday 7 June, which will be followed by a committal for family and close friends.

Afterwards, the family look forward to seeing everyone for refreshments at Lanhydrock Hotel and Golf Club, Bodmin, Cornwall PL30 5AQ.

Mark is sadly missed by friends and family and the retailing fraternity.
