Independent retailers are kicking off World Cup-themed competitions, offering customers the chance to win hundreds of pounds-worth of prizes.
The three Nisa Local stories in Bedfordshire owned by Lenus Trading have launched a competition in which shoppers are asked to ‘name the flag’ of all 32 participating World Cup countries. The winner will receive £250.
In another competition, shoppers who ‘guess the score’ of the first three England games will be in with a chance of winning a further £250. Another 27 prizes are available, appropriate for all age groups.
Area manager Armin Ahmetagic said: “Supporting our local community is at the heart of all that we do and with a great summer of sport ahead we want to lay on some fun, themed events to engage with shoppers of all ages.”
The stores will also be running a face-painting craft session for fans ahead of the first three England matches.
In Sheffield, the three Singh’s Premier stores are inviting shoppers to upload a team photo of themselves on to the Singh’s website, with the winners in line for £500-worth of football kit.
