Landmark Cash & Carry has changed its name to Landmark Wholesale.
Managing director Martin Williams said the move reflected the changed dynamics of Landmark’s business - now split 60:40 delivered to cash and carry - and the creation of separate strategies for retail, catering and food service areas. Changes also include improved terms for members, a better structured promotional programme for retailers, and improvements to own label.
Williams added: “Now is the time to acknowledge the diverse range of our members.” The group’s 30 members - 28 still family owned - boast a combined annual turnover of £1.8bn out of 63 depots. Group sales are up 5.5% in the year to date.
* Cardiff-based BA Cash & Carry was voted Member of the Year and Suppliers’ Depot of the Year in Landmark’s annual awards. The Special Achievement Award went to Parfetts Cash & Carry managing director Steve Parfett, to mark his 10 years as Landmark chairman. Coors won Supplier of the Year.
