Mars Chocolate UK is recalling products produced in the Netherlands due to a possible plastic contamination.

The company is recalling Mars Funsize, Milkyway Funsize, Variety Funsize Family Favourites and Party Mix, Celebrations and Snickers Miniature after plastic was found in one of its products.

Dee Sedani, who owns a One Stop in Derby, said he received an email from One Stop this morning informing all retailers to remove all Celbrations from their shelves. “One Stop have reacted very quickly. They will pick the products up from us and process it their end. It’s been easy peasy!”

However independent retailer Sylvia Winter, of Creaton Post Office was unaware of the recall until she received a call from Convenience Store.

Thankfully she did not have any of the recalled products on her shelves. “That’s lucky I don’t have any out at the moment but if I did I would have to go on the website and follow the advice given,” she said
