The MCA food-to-go conference 2018 will address how convenience stores and other outlets can capitalise on the burgeoning food-to-go market.
Taking place at Ham Yard Hotel in London on 7 February, the conference will feature speakers from Itsu, Greggs and Waitrose and will highlight the key findings from MCA’s 2018 UK food-to-go market report.
MCA predicts the food-to-go market will grow by 3.9% in 2018, surpassing the total eating out market which it predicts to grow by 1.6%.
The conference will highlight what motivates customers to turn to takeaways; which brands and food items customers prefer; how Itsu has grown to a £100m-turnover business; how Greggs’ loyalty app is placing the customer at the heart of its business; and how Waitrose is increasing its in-store foodservice options.
It will also address how fast-food outlets, cafés, c-stores, supermarkets and their suppliers can capitalise on shifting consumer behaviour.
On 8 February a food-to-go study tour visit key food-to-go operations in London and include operator talks and sampling.
