Blakemore Retail has opened a purpose-built forecourt c-store in Lincolnshire which features both Subway and Greggs franchises.
The store, on the Fairfield industrial estate in Louth, has 30 parking spaces and is designed to cater for motorists and residents on a number of missions, including fuel, convenience retail, restaurant and food to go.
As well as Spar, Subway and Greggs ranges, the store offers Costa Coffee and a number of other services such as a free-to-use cash machine, PayPoint and National Lottery. The Shell petrol station features two HGV fast-fill pumps, eight standard fuel pumps, a jet wash and three electric car charging points.
Blakemore Retail managing director Geoff Hallam said: “This new development involves a substantial investment from the company and is part of an ongoing programme of investment in our stores estate, involving both the acquisition of new stores and renovation of existing ones.
“The Greggs and Subway concessions, with their well-known and trusted brands, should help drive sales and footfall as well as ensure that the store appeals to a wide demographic, including commuters and the local neighbourhood. Fairfield is the third Blakemore Retail store to implement a Greggs counter, a franchise partnership which has so far proved successful at our Brumby Corner and Leegomery sites.”
The Mayor of Louth officially opened the site on November 1st along with one of Blakemore Retail’s longest serving employees, Steve Bruce, who has achieved 45 years’ service at the company’s nearby Market Place store. The Fairfield store organised a fun day for members of the local community involving a range of free food giveaways.
Store Manager Michele Lawson added: “The launch day had a great turnout and provided us with a really good opportunity to start establishing the store in the local community.”
“As Louth’s first 24-hour forecourt I’m confident that the store will prove to be a great asset to the town.”
