The National Federation of Retail Newsagents (NFRN) has elected Sam Whiteside as its new national president.
Whiteside, who joined the federation in 1989 and became vice-president of the Mersey Dee, North Wales and Isle of Man district, has been a national councillor since 1997 and is a director of NFRN Mutual. He has also been chairman of both the newstrade and marketing and media committees. He takes over from Mahendra Jadeja, who retains his place on the president's committee.
The new president took over at the NFRN's recent annual conference, where Colin Finch was elected national vice president and Pat Grey became
deputy vice president.
