Palmer and Harvey (P&H) is expanding its Direct Van Sales operation with the launch of P&H Bakedirect in Greater London.
Forming part of the wholesaler’s growing direct-to-store service, Bakedirect will join the existing stable of Direct Van Sales brands, comprising Sweetdirect and Snacksdirect.
Bakedirect will see P&H work in conjunction with suppliers including Warburtons, McVitie’s, Premier Foods and Carrs Foods to provide London-based retailers with top-selling fresh bread and morning goods from leading brands.
P&H said retailers can expect a regular and reliable service with no minimum drop charge and huge time savings versus cash & carry visits.
Bakedirect customers will also benefit from customer sales representatives’ category expertise and in-store merchandising with every Bakedirect delivery.
P&H Bakedirect has launched within the M25 area, with a fleet of 25 vans.
Noel Robinson, Managing Director of Direct Van Sales at Palmer and Harvey, said: “Expanding the P&H Direct Van Sales offering with Bakedirect runs in line with Palmer and Harvey’s ongoing commitment to retailers.
“Our expertise in this area, as the UK’s number one direct-to-store van sales operation, ensures that retailers not only have unrivalled service, but also guaranteed profit when it comes to their impulse and baked ranges.
“We look forward to working closely with our suppliers on this new venture, with the view to further expand the Bakedirect offer in the future.”
