HM Revenue and Customs has issued a winding-up petition against epos and digital media firm Point Four.
The case was due to be heard at the High Court on July 16, but was adjourned until August 12.
The Point Four business model provides retailers with an epos system – free, but subject to a maintenance contract – and digital screens to show advertisements in-store. However, advertising volumes have not been as high as originally anticipated.
Point Four systems have been installed in more than 800 stores, according to the company.
