Cadbury is hoping to send sales of its Wishes chocolate stars soaring this Christmas with a £1m marketing injection. The firm is also pulling on consumer heartstrings by pledging to donate 10% of Wishes’ profits to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Cadbury plans to maximise sales by expanding the brand into gifting. The Wishes gift box comprises 14 x 11g stars, rrp £3.99.
The rest of Cadbury’s Christmas range will feature a new-look Santa, reindeer and snowman for 2011. The jolly characters feature across the range, including advent calendars. Cadbury is also adding character-shaped selection packs at £2.99.
Meanwhile, Cadbury parent brand Kraft has revealed plans to add Terry’s Chocolate Orange with honeycomb, with festive packaging.
