After its successful launch last year, limited edition and much sought-after Cadbury Twirl Orange is to return for 2020.
Cadbury Twirl Orange will be available for retailers to buy from mid-September.
During its run in 2019, Cadbury Twirl Orange saw huge demand from consumers, particularly on social media, leading to shortages in some stores and frustration amongst retailers. In an attempt to avoid the same situation this year, Mondelēz International said there will be an increase in the number of bars being made available.
Brand manager for Cadbury Singles at Mondelēz International Radhika Pai explained why the limited edition variant is returning for 2020. “We are excited to bring back limited edition Cadbury Twirl Orange. Our trade partners and consumers made it clear, they love Cadbury Twirl Orange. It was one of top selling singles NPD of 2019, despite being on sale for only a few weeks.
“It was incremental to the category, attracting younger adult shoppers and driving category growth of +3.4% at launch. After this overwhelmingly positive response, we had to bring back this much-loved product for our retailers and consumers for a set period.”
