Nestlé Confectionery hopes to set tongues tingling when it launches new Rowntree's Sour Pastilles on April 4. Each 48g impulse bag contains five 'extreme sour' flavours of lime, blackcurrant, pineapple, cherry and melon, with each sweet containing 25% real fruit juice and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

The launch, which also coincides with the airing of a new TV ad for Rowntree's Fruit Pastilles, will be supported by a £3m media support package. Nestlé recommends that Rowntree's Sour Pastilles, which come in 36-outer packs, are placed next to Fruit Pastilles.
