Diageo has launched Hop House 13, the first lager to emerge from its Guinness Brewers Project craft beer venture in Dublin.
The new 5% abv product is a full-flavoured, hoppy lager and bears Guinness branding to encourage new consumers to have the confidence to try it. It was launched in the on-trade in Ireland in April, and has already secured 2.8% of the lager market, with particular appeal to drinkers in the 21-35 year bracket.
With an rrp of £1.79 for a 330ml bottle, the new line is positioned in the ‘discovery’ section of the market, alongside Belgian, US and niche world beer brands.
