Inspired by the growth in café culture, Häagen-Dazs is launching a Barista ice cream collection flavoured with coffee beans.
Available in two new flavours: brownie macchiato; and caramel chai latté, the range is available now in 460ml pints or minicup packs of four (rrp £6.05 and £4.30 respectively).
The Brownie Macchiato flavour is made with Robusta coffee beans, chocolate brownie pieces and coffee sauce. The Caramel Chai Latte instead offers a blend of Darjeeling and Assam black tea, with ginger caramel sauce and biscuit pieces.
Kat Jones, marketing manager at Häagen-Dazs UK, said “As a brand we’re all about creating indulgent moments and our Barista Collection provides just that.
“Both flavours are unique, offering consumers a delicious treat for after dinner or when on the go, and tap into the growing coffee culture that has swept the nation.”
Consumers in the UK spend a reported £6.3bn on coffee every year [Kantar Worldpanel, 25 February 2018] and the coffee shop market is reported to be worth £15bn by 2020 [Allegra World Coffee Portal 2018].
Häagen-Dazs claims the new Barista Collection taps into this market and the products are available to c-store retailers now.
