Yollies, the world’s first yogurt on a stick, is aiming to continue its success with the launch of a new limited edition banana flavour.
Available from the beginning of March, the ‘Go Bananas’ flavour will join the Yollies line up alongside existing Raspberry, Strawberry and Apricot flavours.
The new flavour will be available until the end of summer in 4 x25g packs (rrp £2.00).
Kerry Foods dairy marketing manager Tom Willcock said: “2015 was an eventful year for our popular yogurt lolly, with TV activity, CiTV sponsorship, cinema, theme park sampling and 43,000 keyring redemptions which saw the brand grow to £3m in value with 50% of sales being incremental to the category.
“Feedback from kids has been that Yollies is weird, but they love it. We tested a range of flavours and banana scored extremely well among both kids and mums, so we’re confident that shoppers will really go bananas for the new flavour. We are continuing to drive momentum with the brand by launching this as a limited edition flavour to drive footfall in store and encourage repeat purchases. Feedback from a leading retailer is that Yollies are flying off the shelves, and we aim to continue this success throughout 2016”
Each lolly contains no artificial colours or flavours and is individually packaged in a protective pod featuring a character from the range, which includes pirates, Vikings and scuba divers, whilst the collectable Yollies sticks continue to encourage collectability and repeat purchase.
