Celebrity chef and Dragons’ Den star Levi Roots is adding to his soft drinks range with the introduction of a new Carnival Flava variant.
Rolling out from early March in the convenience and cash and carry sector, the sparkling drink, a mix of peach and papaya, will come in 500ml ready to drink £1 pricemarked packs.
The new SKU is set to replace the Tropical Punch flavour in the current portfolio. The launch will be supported by sampling activities in wholesale depots, trade promotions, in-store support for retailers through point of sale kits and a summertime multi-media campaign.
Levi Roots soft drinks brand manager Tracy Bradley said: “In the Impulse market, Levi Roots Soft Drinks is one of the fastest growing flavoured carbonate brands in the category and we’re sure that Carnival Flava will further accelerate this growth. Price marking on quality brands is a key opportunity for independents, and this trend shows no sign of slowing as shoppers continue to seek the best value in all product areas. We believe that stocking Carnival Flava will bring retailers a strong return on their investment.
“With this summer’s Olympics taking place in Brazil, consumers will be looking for tastes that remind them of sunshine and tropical holidays, so this is the perfect time for retailers to stock up on exotic flavoured drinks. It’s refreshing, fun and will get everyone ready for summer and the barbecue season.”
