A new campaign aimed at prioritising the use of local independent retailers and local produce is to be launched in East Anglia.
The campaign, ‘Localise It’, is officially launched on May 26, and has been organised by the Local Works organisation in association with such groups as buyers Redorange, Friends of the Earth and East Anglia Food Link.
Local Works was set up two years ago to promote the Sustainable Communities Bill.
Redorange director Nigel Dowdney, who owns three c-stores in Norfolk and will be speaking on the launch day, said: “This campaign will show the local community the vital role they play in contributing to the local economy.”
