McCain is launching a brand new recipe for its Home Chips, after three years of product development.
The new recipe is designed to maintain the brand’s share of the frozen chips market. McCain claims the Home Chips are key in driving footfall in stores and says the product has the highest penetration of any chip in the category (27%) [IRI Data to April 28 2018].
Mark Hodge, marketing director for McCain, said: “As a brand, it fills us with pride to see that our Home Chips have remained the nation’s favourite chip for over twenty years. However, we never rest on our laurels and recognise that there is always work to be done to make our chips even better. That’s why we’re so delighted to launch our new recipe – a crispier, fluffier and tastier chip that we know our consumers will love even more!”
