Mentos is launching a new range of chewy mints this May - Chewy & Fresh - in a bid to tap into demand from on-the-go consumers.
Debuting ahead of the summer refreshment sales spike, the new mints offer long-lasting minty freshness, in a smaller format.
Brand owner Perfetti van Melle (PVM) is introducing the range to target on-the-go shoppers. Available in a handy 99g resealable bottle, each one contains 90 candy pieces and comes in peppermint and lemon mint flavours (rrp £1.70).
Mark Roberts, marketing director for Perfetti Van Melle, said: “Refreshment is under pressure to stand up against traditional sugar confectionery – the category needs some excitement injected back into it. At PVM we’re actively driving this through a raft of new innovation across our brand portfolio. Mentos Chewy & Fresh is the first bite-size chewy mint, great for on-the-go and creating fresh connections.”
