Premium soft drinks brand DRGN is bringing to market a newly reformulated turmeric superdrink with reduced sugar (below the sugar levy) and refreshed packaging.
The range claims to offer natural energy and wellness in the form of an ‘Asian fusion’ of turmeric and ginger, as well as vitamins, electrolytes and amino acid.
Sold in 250ml cans (rrp £1.85), each drink contains 53 calories and is free from caffeine, artificial flavours, colourings or sweeteners and is also suitable for vegans.
Featuring a golden colour and natural citrus flavours, DRGN’s superdrink is available to convenience stores and independents via the following distributors: Wholegood; Diverse Fine Foods; DDC Foods; and Nectar Imports.
Vishal Sodha, ceo and founder of DRGN Global Ltd, said: “There is a growing demand for natural beverages which are not packed with caffeine or sugar, that appeal to different occasions and DRGN aims to fill this gap in the market. Thanks to the versatility and functionality that DRGN boasts, this Superdrink has gained traction across all distribution channels from grocery and food-to-go, to workplace cafeterias, and even non-alcoholic bar menus for a more mindful drinking experience.”
“In 2016, turmeric was named as a ‘superfood to watch’ by Mintel and is now one of the most popular botanicals globally. Meanwhile, the natural energy and adult soft drink categories are growing rapidly in the UK, with DRGN providing an innovative solution and point of difference across both.”
