The Drinks Company has launched Sierra Gran Café - a handcrafted Sierra Tequila Blanco blended with Mexican coffee.
The new coffee liqueur, 25% ABV (rrp £25.00 per 70cl or £18.00 per 50cl) is being targeted at 21 -35 men and women who like to try new flavours.
Available now, the new SKU can be mixed with milk or added to cocktails.
Coffee is experiencing an ongoing revival and espresso liqueurs enjoy great popularity, according to the brand. The concept of coffee-flavoured Tequila has worked well in the high-end segment (Patrón XO Cafe) and this SKU has had great success internationally. It offers a different taste experience to other coffee-liqueurs, such as sugar-cane based Kahlúa, and a good alternative to more expensive Tequila based coffee liqueurs.
The scent of the liqueur suggests slow toasted coffee, nutty nougat, hints of fruit and rounded off by the herbal notes and spices from our Sierra Tequila. The taste offers a depth of flavour from the natural roasted Mexican coffee as well as a fresh taste of tropical fruit and the characteristic lightly peppery agave, with a toasted coffee and sweet chocolate brownie finish.
